Sandra Kay Edmonds, age 73, of Battle Creek, passed away at Thornapple Manor on May 6, 2020. Sandra was born on January 22, 1947 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Bethel Lee and Frances Irene (Hilton) Winton. Sandra was a 1965 graduate of Lakeview High School and earned an associate’s degree from Kellogg Community College. Sandra was a beautician for many years and also was employed by Clark Equipment for about eight years. Sandra was a member of Northeastern Baptist Church, attended many Bible study groups and enjoyed reading her Bible daily. Sandra was an accomplished singer, photographer and beautiful artist, creating quilts, dolls, and folk art. Sandra was very self-sufficient, she loved to cook, garden, can her vegetables, and tend to her flowers. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Bill Edmonds; son, William H. (Neydi) Edmonds; daughters, Julie Dochterman, April (Carl) Edmonds, and Catherine (Keith) Brandau; 11 grandchildren; sister, Joy (Jim) Corsi; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
