Robert M. Fruin, age 77, of Hickory Corners passed away on August 20, 2020. Bob was born on September 27, 1942 in Battle Creek, the son of Merle and Rozella (Steffis) Fruin. After graduating high school, Bob attended Detroit Barber College. Later, he was employed at James River Corp. for many years. Bob loved going to the cabin up north, being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was a longtime member of Solid Rock Bible Church in Delton. Bob is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Fruin; brother, Donald Fruin, good friend, Jim Hause Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Sharon Fruin in 2002 and Joyce Fruin in 2018; daughters, Rose Marie and Mary Rose; son, Edward; and brother, Warren Fruin. Bob’s visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, 10 to 11 a.m. at Solid Rock Bible Church where his funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Pastor Roger Claypool will officiate.
