Patsy Chaffee, age 76, of Bellevue passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020 at Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek.
Patsy was born in Hastings, on September 13, 1943, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Allen) Townsend. Patsy attended many schools in her youth, travelling with family, due to her father’s work assignments. She graduated from Nashville High School in 1961 and continued her education at Kellogg Community College.
After spending a short time employed at Michigan Bell, Patsy focused her time on caring for her family. Along with her husband Robert, Patsy enjoyed spending time travelling around the country in their camper.
After Robert passed away in 2010, Patsy continued to travel throughout Michigan visiting friends and relatives. She also enjoyed Florida in the winters. She enjoyed reading, visiting with people, talking on the phone, eating chocolate, hummingbirds, and playing cards (especially Skip Bo, and Euchre).
Patsy is survived by her two daughters, Diana (Jeffrey) Wood, Laurie (Jimmy) Angus; two brothers, Garry (Kim) Townsend, Gilbert Townsend; two half sisters, Jacqueline (Dana) Cribley, Colleen Shrank and grandchildren, Rachel Angus, Dakota (Jessica) Angus, Jeremy Wood, Dalton Angus and two great grandchildren, Gage McManus, and Kinsley Angus.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert. Bob and Pat were married for 46 years
Funeral services will be held privately at Daniels Funeral Home, Nashville, with Pastor Steve Olmstead officiating.
