Fern Marion Lind, of Hastings, died on July 20, 2020 in Nashville, at age 94.
She was born in Battle Creek on June 8, 1926. She attended Monroe Country School in Johnston Township. She married Willard Lind on August 25, 1945. In her earlier years, Fern enjoyed dancing with her husband Willard.
The M66 home near Nashville, with the big red barn, was her residence for most of her life. She genuinely enjoyed country living, caring for her home, maintaining her beautiful flowers and all aspects of being outdoors. Throughout the years, many days were filled with Willard, participating, or attending horse and mule pulling events. Her voice became well known as she was often the announcer at these events.
As her wonderful life continued, she had many opportunities to enjoy watching her grandchildren at different sporting events. Her life’s greatest enjoyment revolved around all aspects of being with her family. She lit up a room with her smile, she will be deeply missed.
