Irene Gayle Johnson, age 79, of Middleville, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2020 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods. Irene was born on November 12, 1941 in Lansing, the daughter of William and Mildred (Fuller) Shaw. Irene enjoyed traveling in the family’s motorhome, especially to Alaska. Irene is survived by sons: William (Tamara) Johnson of Middleville and James D. Johnson of Anchorage, Alaska; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Johnson in 2014; daughter, Kathleen Vinatieri in 2012; and brother, Glenn E. Shaw in 2001. According to Irene’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions to Metro Hospital will be appreciated.
