Gary Arthur Finkbeiner, age 64, of Ventana Winds Assisted Living, Youngtown, AZ passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020. Gary was born in Grand Haven, on November 10, 1955 son of Rodney and Charlotte (Kenyon) Finkbeiner. Gary was married to Linda Bird on June 21, 1986 and was divorced in 1997. Gary worked at an early age for his father at Finkbeiner Pharmacy in Fowler. He also worked for M&M Grill, Thornapple Kellogg Schools, Maecore, Measurement Inc. In 2010 he moved to Arizona to work for the State of Arizona in hydrogeology research. He graduated from Fowler High School in 1974 with top ten honors and where he received The John Phillip Sousa Band Award. Gary received many degrees from Central Michigan University, Michigan State University, Miami of Ohio, LCC Community College among others. Gary loved geography, geology and research of genealogy of the Finkbeiner family and Kenyon family and was the founder and administrator of two Facebook sites, Fowler Friends and Middleville Friends. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Ward Finkbeiner and his mother, Charlotte Pearl (Kenyon) Finkbeiner and brother-in-law, Geoff Cross. He is survived by two brothers, Larry and Peggy(Willson) Finkbeiner, Allyn and Nova(Mantes) Finkbeiner and one sister, Ann Cross along with many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service is being planned for later this summer if possible.
