Jeffry Jake Burns, a hardworking, loving, provider for his family, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2020.
Jeffry, age 65, was born March 18, 1955, the son of Thomas and Ardith (Stevens) Burns. Following graduating from Bellevue High School Jeffry started working at Meijer Warehouse where he worked for 25 years before retiring. During his time at Meijer Warehouse Jeffry started his own power washing business, and later he was extremely proud to take over the family cattle farm.
Besides farming, Jeffry enjoyed camping and boating at Gun Lake, cutting wood and enjoying the outdoors. Everyone will remember Jeffry for being a man that loved to tell a good story and a man that devoted his life to his work.
Jeffry is survived by his children, Brandon (Shari) Burns, Nicole (Josh) Hewitt; grandchildren, Lauren, Gavin Burns, and Kennedi, Sydney Hewitt; siblings, Max (Margaret) Burns, Jean Porter, Marie (Elliot) Eberhard.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ardith Burns.
A visitation was held at Pray Funeral Home on Thursday, July 9, 2020.
If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Charlotte Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness.
Due to current COVID restrictions, it is requested that visitors wear masks and the number of people is limited during visitation and funeral services at the funeral home.
