Ronald Sherwood York, age 84, of Shipshewana, IN, went to Heaven on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020. He was born to John and Wilma (Meyers) York on July 7, 1936. Ron graduated from Lakewood High School in 1955, then served in the Army National Guard. He married his wife of 61 years, Janiece (Doebler) York on February 28k, 1959. He retired from Superior Electric as a master electrician after 30 years. Ron always loved farming, but he also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and helping his community. Ron is survived by his wife, Janiece; two children, Ronda (Brian) Roll, and Cam (Donna) York; seven grandchildren, Jami (Dan) Rhodes, Jacob (Karen) Roll, Jessica (Eric) Carter, Danielle Beebe, Justin (Amber) Roll, Jolie York, and Jessie Campbell; 19 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. A mid-October memorial celebration is being planned.
