Delton Kellogg Foundation offering 45 Scholarships for 2020
The Delton Kellogg Education Foundation has announced that it will be awarding $3,000 in classroom grants and $53,100 in scholarships for the 2020 scholarship season to support district students and teachers.
The DKEF has been investing in the success of the Delton Kellogg students since 2014 and will be taking applications for this year's round of awards until March 1. The DKEF's assistance helps provide a variety of support to the Delton Kellogg school district and, in turn, ensures future growth and stability within the community for district residents.
DKEF’s portfolio of scholarships includes 20 individual $1,000 scholarships as well as the George and Doris Leonard Scholarship. Funding for the George and Doris Leonard Scholarship is provided by the couple's estate. This year, DKEF is excited to offer six $2,000 scholarships from this fund to graduating seniors and graduates of the Delton Kellogg School District.
More and more focus is being placed on non-traditional/adult students, those individuals who have already graduated from high school. Through the DKEF's affiliation with the Barry Community Foundation, graduates of Delton Kellogg schools, also have access to 25 non-traditional scholarships.
Students interested in a scholarship can apply online at http://www.barrycf.org/scholarship/. Descriptions of each scholarship are also outlined on the website. Because students can apply for up to 10 different scholarships, they are encouraged to review each scholarship and apply to those that best fit their qualifications. Students requiring assistance with the scholarship process can contact Annie Halle, the scholarship administrator, at the Barry Community Foundation at email@example.com or by calling 269-945-0526.
